Phlebotomy

Phlebotomy prepares individuals to draw blood samples from patients using a variety of invasive procedures. Instruction includes basic vascular anatomy and physiology, blood physiology, skin puncture techniques, venipuncture, venous specimen collection and handling, safety and sanitation procedures, and applicable standards and regulations.

All BRTC degree-seeking students should demonstrate competency in the general education learning outcomes.

This program is ineligible for financial aid.

Deadline: Open year-round
Classes available in 8 and 16-week sessions.

No incomplete applications will be accepted; all applications must be complete prior to deadline.

PHLEBOTOMY APPLICATION

Certificate in Proficiency for Patient Care Technician

Students that complete the Certificate of Proficiency in both Phlebotomy and Nursing Assistant also qualify for a Certificate in Proficiency for Patient Care Tech.
